    Originally known simply as "Carcassonne: The Expansion," Inns and
    Cathedrals adds some new tiles, and one new figure.

the opinion amongst the guys i played w/ was that this expansion made
the game more 'playable'. i think 'the river' is also standard now, but
i haven't checked.
