I'm sorry, but I don't yet see a pattern from the ASCII:

The decimal ASCII equivalent doesn't ring any alarm bells:
116, 113, 45, 103, 106, 42, 90, 92, 89, 67, 61

I don't see any geometric differences between the numbers. A few are prime,
but not all.

The Octal and Hexadecimal representations also don't give me an 'aha':

0x74' 0x71 0x2d 0x67 0x6a 0x2a 0x5a 0x5c 0x59 0x43 0x3d
x8: '164', '161', '55', '147', '152', '52', '132', '134', '131', '103', '75'

Looking at any shifting of characters (without control characters) doesn't
show me a pattern that I recognize:

A similar analysis on 'Jacques Binet' doesn't shed any more light:

74, 97, 99, 113, 117, 101, 115, 32, 66, 105, 110, 101, 116
0x4a 0x61 0x63 0x71 0x75 0x65 0x73 0x20 0x42 0x69 0x6e 0x65 0x74

'156', '14
5', '164'

I also don't see any translation between the two(like J==t, a==q, etc.)
because the phrases are of different lengths. And, there's not a third
phrase to exercise the translation on.

Without any more clues, I'm stuck enough to be bored of it.
