I haven't visited Willoughby & Baltic (the Boston hacker space), but I just spent a week with Jimmy Rodgers, one of the people who started it. Jimmy and me ran the hardware hacking area at 25C3 last week, and had a great time! We taught several hundred people to solder, and to make cool things with microcontrollers. If Willoughby & Baltic is as cool as he describes it, then everyone who visits Boston should visit the space. They have lots of really big power tools (like table saws), as well as a space for software and electronics. Sounds like they have a really nice group of people, too. If you know anyone in Boston, please let them know about Willougby & Baltic.Mitch.------------> Date: Sun, 4 Jan 2009 22:29:49 -0800> From: kristian.hermansen at gmail.com> To: noisebridge-discuss at lists.noisebridge.net> Subject: [Noisebridge-discuss] Boston Hacker Space> > A friend of mine from high school just told me that he was involved in> setting up this new space while I was home in Boston for the holidays.> There's a nice article about it on boston.com:> http://www.boston.com/ae/theater_arts/articles/2008/10/04/make_it_or_break_it/?page=2> > Cheers...> -- > Kristian Erik Hermansen> > Have you tried Session Destroyer yet?> <http://kristian.hermansen.googlepages.com/session.destroyer.html>> _______________________________________________> Noisebridge-discuss mailing list> Noisebridge-discuss at lists.noisebridge.net> https://www.noisebridge.net/mailman/listinfo/noisebridge-discuss
