I've actually got a rather strong interest in seeing older PPC-based  
Macs "freed" from their HFS-filesystem prisons via some OpenFirmware  
extensions which would allow it to boot off third party filesystems  
instead of the HFS-only crippled form Apple shipped back in the day.  
If anyone here is interested in working on this with me, I'd happily  
give you a PPC PowerMac if you'd be willing to collaborate (or not, if  
that's more your style)
