Call them up and ask for free licenses. No need to spend money. Explain
about noisebridge. We always did this in sweden. Usually not very difficult
as long as you find the right pwerson in the compaqny.

ioerror mentioned something about considering an IDA Pro license for
Noisebridge. As I've been looking at picking up a license for personal
use, this caught my eye. A brief discussion followed, wherein we covered
the different licenses, pricing, and versions.

IDA Pro comes in two versions: Standard and Advanced. Standard supports
20+ processor families, and Advanced supports 50+ processor families.
The specifics are available at http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/idaproc.htm

For pricing, here's the breakdown:

* Named licenses (one specific, named user; unlimited number of computers)
 - Standard base: $515 US
 - Standard additional: $375 US
 - Advanced base: $985 US
 - Advanced additional: $715 US

* Computer licenses (one specific computer; different users on that
computer; only one user active at any one time)
 - Standard base: $775 US
 - Standard additional: $560 US
 - Advanced base: $1470 US
 - Advanced additional: $1070 US

This pricing, of course, doesn't include addons like HexRays. What are
your thoughts on licensing IDA Pro for Noisebridge?
