Let's keep the Clementina space separate from this one... we're not
necessarily competing the spaces at the moment.
The location of this one seems rather interesting. Google maps puts
it at the end of an dead-end alley, and backing up against the DNA
Lounge. I think we'd need to see just how sketchy that alley gets
after dark, as I don't see how traffic from the DNA Lounge would be
wandering down it. Also, while it's good we wouldn't need to worry
about making noise, we need to make sure the noise is reasonable. A
deafening amount of music almost nightly from our neighbours could
really impact the activities we could do, and make it very difficult
to get any work done.
Also, the Folsom Street Fair will be happening right outside this
place in September -- just a weekend, but definitely worth making note
of it (imagine what happens in an alley during this event, haha).
I'll let other people duke it at on the distance from this place to
BART (which, btw, it seems equidistant from both 16th st and civic
center).
It does seem like there is a number of restaurants near this place,
although many might close at 9 or 10, which isn't unreasonable. We'd
be VERY close to both Rainbow and Costco with this, which could prove
very convenient.
The space does look nice inside, and could suite our needs well.
I wonder though, could we afford $4k/mo rent? We never really
satisfied exactly what our max monthly burn rate was..
