Hey campers,

Come do (or learn how to do) surface mount soldering with the Flaming
Lotus Girls tomorrow. There's beer and a barbecue and a big party at
the shop later that night with like flamethrowers and stuff. If you'd
rather bang on metal (or grind or weld) you can do that too -- it's
rush time which is always a fun time withe the Girls! Come on down it
will be awesome.

Hello Swarmies... The time has come. We are finally receiving all of
our boards and are starting to solder them together. We would love
your expert help.

First GEEK party is tomorrow at the boxshop at 11.00AM. We have 75 LED
boards to surface-mount solder! If you have some time to help, please
come to the shop -=- please RSVP to me if you are coming. Our other
boards are arriving early next week, and this is the first geek
building party of many till we are done

Want to GEEK OUT with the Flaming Lotus Girls? Saturday August 1st
from 11.00AM at the boxshop -- GEEKS are soldering our brand new LED
boards together.

We would love YOUR HELP. We are hosting a soldering party and looking
for like-minded geeks to come down to the shop and solder your hearts
out. Mostly of the soldering is SM soldering using tiny microscopic
parts. If you have tools (fine tip soldering irons , magnifying
glasses, tweezers) bring them along

What we are going to do:
==========================
Solder paster -- apply solder paste using the stencil or syringe
Pick and Placer( 1-3 people) -- pick components and place them in the
correct locations
Reflow -- heat the board on skillet or with hot air till solder melts
and chips align through surface tension
Inspect -- visually examine board for any misaligned parts and fix
obvious issues
Test -- check for shorts between various points, test power supply
(apply source voltage check regulator output)
