At the weekly meeting on Tuesday we raised enough donations to buy a MakerBot kit for Noisebridge!  So, I ordered one.  :)

 

 

MakerBot is a 3D printer kit made by 3 people at NYC Resistor, a hacker space in NYC.  The MakerBot is super cool, and deservedly super popular.  They are pretty swamped with orders after showing it off at the Maker Faire, so we don't have a delivery date yet.

Take a chance on winning this homebrew CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) three dimensional printer! The Cupcake CNC is truly the cutest rapid prototyping machine ever. This piece of equipment will be the one built from a kit at the 3D printing Summit on June12-14th at AS220. Each ticket costs $10.
