I'd be down with such an affiliate/supporter rate. I have my own space nearby and while I don't see myself becoming a full/starving member due to time and other constraints, I would not mind helping out on a regular basis financially and otherwise. I don't live in the city but am around it often enough and also can never really make a meeting anyhow. I could setup making a regular donation, but "affiliate" just sounds cooler.
