Tip, grab sbsetttings, use it to kill the SSH service when you don't 
actually need it.

Another tip, no network is secure. If you're worried about someone 
hi-jacking your iPhone (or computer), don't connect to public wifi 
access points (such as Noisebridge).

Additionally if I remember right, notes in Cydia for the OpenSSH package 
do state that you should change your default password.
