Hi to Noisebridge cats,
I'm working with a group of film makers on projecting our stuff onto
Coit Tower. We have done it before, but would like to expand the pool of
film makers involved and to improve our techniques. We are scheduled to
project (and radio broadcast) on Nov. 25th-26th. Best would be to meet
once a week until then. I've been working with ATA, especially as a
screening and broadcast community space, but it seems that Noisebridge
would be a better place to work on our project flow and develop our
content.
I presented this project at the August 5MoF, and since have only been
around to help with wiring the new space.
I'd like to start getting together on Saturday mornings, the project is
called "Thanks a Lot!" and is part of a series called the Ohlone
Profiles Project, which is a project of the Center for un-Authorized
Repairs. (see ohloneprofiles.org for our still lame blog site.) Longer
term goals are to project in stereo and also 360 degree while
experimenting with live broadcasting. My main interest is in the effects
of media (specifically broadcast and film projection) on community
formation and recovery from genocide.
It would be best if somebody who is more connected to Noisebridge would
help us get oriented, better still if they wanted to be involved in
producing the events, or films we'd show.
its terribly exciting what you all are up to and I hope this works out.
Neil
