I too share your fear of 4chan although I did click on the link because I
didn't know wtf he was referencing. Here's the text (edited to be less
offensive):

*Cool story, bro* is the ultimate shut down to obvious trolling, to which
there is no response. It's versatile in that it simultaneously acknowledges
the given failure, shows moderate approval, and conveys the fact that nobody
cares.

Alternate ways to say it may be utilized, like the following:
