[Noisebridge-discuss] I am really disappointed with certain members of noisebridge

Crutcher,

The definition of what was done is really quite moot. What was
non-excellent was that it happened. Showing it could be done once is
enough to prove out the principle of the deed, and from that point it
becomes somewhat academic to notify the owner of the site that there
is a flaw in their system.

( In this case, a forum whose voting system can be manipulated. )

A system that did not belong to, nor in the direct control of, nor by
permission of those who do own the system, was played with. Yes,
it's the difference between the old definition of 'white' 'grey' and
'black' hats. However, part of being excellent at Noisebridge is
behaving in a way that won't harm NB and others at NB.

The example could have been set up, and taught in complete isolation
with a server tinkered together from spare parts at NB for example.

There are generally non-intrusive ways to learn, teach, and hack. Not
always, but generally so. Choosing to do otherwise is a personal
decision, but one that doesn't jibe well with the way NB is set up.
