Hi, I'm new and not actually in San Francisco.  My name is Jeff Rosowski, and
I run the local Dorkbot here in Las Vegas (http://dorkbotlv.org)  We're a
pretty small group at the moment with only a handful of "members".  I joined
the mailing list to see what some of the other groups are doing.

HID card systems are nice.  One of my projects is building one for my house
based on the SX28 microcontroller and a HID badge reader.  Of course you could
also use RFID based as well.
