Those who came last time seemed to enjoy this.

So, again: Outdoor lasertag. Strategic, not random craziness like
indoor (which I've played a few times and don't really like). Capture
the flag game w/ multiple gun types, semi-reliable hit feedback,
headset radios, teams. Fun. Noob friendly.

Ziggy is friend of mine, does audio for SF Opera, doing this basically
at cost because he's a hardcore lasertag geek. (Used to design arenas,
etc. Email him if you want to geek out about it; I just play and help
out.)

ALSO, you should come to Five Minutes of Flail this Thursday @ NB.
It'll be epic. RL lolz will be had. So be there. 3 on-the-spot speaker
slots are available, so if you're interested in talking (or if you
will be after a couple beers :-P) just come out and be first to the
mic when the prompt comes up.

Hi SFlasertag fans,

Our next outdoor lasertag picnic party is taking place on mother’s day
Sunday May 9th from 1p-6:30p.  This time we’re going to have this
event at the http://specopsliveplay.com  headquarters in Oakdale CA.
It’s about a 2 hour ride from San Francisco.  It’s an old horse ranch
that specops uses as their main outdoor lasertag field.  No, we aren’t
allowed to ride on the horses during games!  They have a nice outdoor
field loaded with obstacles specifically designed for outdoor
lasertag.  It’s a great place to play and it’s well worth the ride.
I’ll be driving a van there if anyone needs a ride.  The van will
depart the SF Opera house at 10:30am and return around 8:30pm.

This event will be similar to other sflasertag events, but with a
smaller crowd.  We’ll probably play many more games then we have in
previous events; probably between 6-8 games depending on the number of
people who attend.  I will be providing two-way radios for everyone as
we have in previous events.  We’ll also be forming teams and keeping
them throughout the event just as we do in other sflasertag picnic
parties.

The price is $35 per person if paid in advance by May 7th, or $40 if
you pay on-site, plus $10 for anyone who needs a ride in the van.
There are BBQs there and this is potluck, so please try to bring
something yummy to share.
