Honestly, I fail to see how logging BSSIDs of wireless networks they
drive by is a privacy issue.  The pulbic APIs only allow you to get a
location based on the AP's BSSID, not get all APs in a certian area.
AFAICT, they're doing it to allow location to be estimated in absence
of GPS.  I doubt they're logging anything other than the BSSIDs.  No
logging of client macs, traffic, etc.  There is no evil being done
here, and I see little evil use for this.

If you're worried about it, run an open source firmware on your router
and modify it to randomize your mac address regularly.  This is pretty
simple under OpenWRT.
