[Noisebridge-discuss] Board of the Knowing

Good idea! I’d stick a photo of me on the board saying that I know how to brew Kombucha. So people would know that we brew Kombucha and who they have to ask for information!

Hey peeps -

There has been a bunch of discussion about how to make it known to newbies who to ask for help / who they should talk to to be shown around.

Following up on Lilia's idea of the board of awesome, how about a board of the knowing?

Here's my idea:
-stick a piece of sheet metal to the wall by the door
-any Noisebridger can make a magnet of themselves which hopefully shows at least a picture and a name they want to be called by
-when you want to be a resource for the space, slap your magnet on the piece of metal! When you no longer want to be a resource on point, take your magnet off the board!

I was thinking this could be a good compromise of an easily implementable solution that provides newbies with some info, but also protects the anonymity of those that want it. Plus, it may be a great way to connect names with faces for those that don't know everyone at the space.

What do people think of this idear? If peeps like it, I'll make the board and bring it in!
