outdoor lasertag picnic parties

Hi all,

I’m hosting 3 fantastic http://sflasertag.org/  picnic parties this
spring and I wanted to send you invites to them.  For all three
events, we’ll be playing with the awesome high-end outdoor lasertag
equipment from specopsliveplay and we’ll have two-way radio headsets
for every player.  Games will take place in a 5-12 acre wooded park.
These picnic parties a lot of fun and I hope you can make it!  Here’s
the rundown:

First event is PrideWars

http://sflasertag.org/pridewars

What:  A fabulous lasertag potluck picnic party for the
gay/bi/les/trans community, or anyone who feels comfortable being at
fabulous parties!  We’re going to play our games at a beautiful and
isolated section of John Mclaren Park in San Francisco.  We’ll have a
nice group picnic area with both veg and critter BBQs and we’ll enjoy
a potluck picnic in the park between games.

When:  Sat April 3rd, 2010 12pm-5pm at John Mclaren Park in San Francisco

Cost: $42 the entire event, which includes over an hour of gameplay

Second event is .comWars2

http://sflasertag.org/dotcomwars

What:  The second battle for control of silicon valley!  “.comWars2”
is a lasertag picnic party for anyone who lives and loves technology,
or people who enjoy shooting at computer geeks!  I have been doing
lots of lasertag scouting- visiting over 20 parks this past few
months.  Memorial Park in Loma Mar, site of .comWars2, is the most
perfect place to play lasertag!  At the campsite I’ve rented, we’ll
have 12 acres of beautiful huge redwood trees to roam around.  Between
games, we’ll enjoy a fine catered BBQ lunch by www.FoodsbyJude.com .
This will be the best outdoor lasertag party ever!  If you don’t work
Mondays (like me!), you can feel to pitch a tent and crash with us.
Otherwise we’ll have a optional party-bus that will ferry players
to/from downtown SF, or you can enjoy the scenic drive.  It’s about 35
mins west of Palo Alto.

When:  Sunday April 18th, 2010 1pm-6:30pm Memorial Park, Wurr Campsite
Loma Mar, CA

Cost: $60 for games, which includes a yummy catered BBQ lunch..  There
is an optional campfire dinner ($25), and a party-bus ($45) that will
take players to/from downtown SF.

The third event is LaserCon

http://sflasertag.org/lasercon

What:  Battle of the Scifi genres!  LaserCon will pit scifi fans of
every genre against each other in a day long lasertag picnic party.
We’ll be playing at the historic Point Pinole Regional Park in the
East Bay.  This park has been specifically engineered to play lasertag
by the dynamite manufacturing companies during the gold rush!  There
are huge bunker fortifications and historic landmarks hidden in this
Eucalyptus grove we’ll be playing in.  It rocks!  This will be a
potluck picnic party, so bring your signature dish!

When:  Saturday May 1st, 2010 11:00am-4:30pm Point Pinole Regional Park East Bay

Cost: $40-$50 TBD- Registration will open as soon as the pricing firms up.

All of the events will follow the same basic format as the previous
events.  We’ll be playing 12-15 minute capture-the-flag games in a
scenic wooded area.  We’ll have the same awesome radio-based lasertag
equipment and two-way radio headsets for all of these events.

Volunteers: I’m looking for volunteers for all of my events.  If
anyone wants to register for any of these events, but cannot afford
to, consider volunteering.  Volunteers help me setup, cleanup, and run
the event in exchange for free registration.  Email me soon if you’re
interested in a volunteer position as there are only a handful of
positions available for each event.

Please help me spread the word about these events.  I would greatly
appreciate linking to them on facebook, or emailing your friends about
them.  Check out our facebook fanpage at
http://facebook.com/sflasertag

Feel free to ask me any questions about any of these events.  I hope
to see you soon!
