Jason,

I'd like to get a meeting going by this weekend. That leaves
Thursday/Friday/Saturday. I'd love to do it tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon or
early evening if you're free. You and Jim so far are the only takers. I'd
like to start by going over everything I can find on the wiki relating to
the original bylaws discussion.

There was a "bigass bylaws meeting" way back when with notes posted on the
wiki:
https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Meeting_Notes_2008_06_17

I *think* but I'm not sure that the 2 versions of bylaws they reference are
here:
https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Bylaws_2
https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Bylaws_3
Since the link in the meeting notes points to our current bylaws version.

I would like to point out that there are only 9 articles in our current
bylaws, 14 in each of those. I think it'd be cool if we could condense the
important differences in those down to the 9 articles we currently use.

I think a second meeting could be conducted, once we have something in
between those, to discuss how what we manage to merge from that differs from
how we currently operate, with an eye towards things like eliminating as
many decisions that the board of directors need to make as possible. And
making it more clear that decisions are done by at the very least "the will
of the membership".
