FWIW, I put one of these on my bike for my accessories (add'l horn,
daytime running lights, grip heaters):

My only concern w/ the socket is that since this is an on-person item,
if I fall (or the much more likely case, if I forget about it and just
go to get off), I don't want it to snag, break, impede my movement off
the bike, etc. Hence wondering if there's some sort of stock
magsafe-type component available (or something that gives an
equivalent, e.g. some sort of breakaway socket). I simply don't know
on this one, not even sure what it'd be called if it existed.
