Hi noisebridge!

Many of you have seen my scooter - the little "go motorboard 2000x",
looks like this:

http://www.electric-bikes.com/scooters/go-motorboard.html

I actually have two. I'm only taking one with me, therefore I have an
extra. The one I am taking is the "zombie scooter" with no batteries,
no controller, etc. Status of the one I want to give away:

  - battery old, about 2/3 it's original capacity, still goes about 3
miles on a charge. Battery pack is simply 12 D cells.
  - motors old, they make more noise than they used to, and don't have
the same power. I suspect the brushes are wearing down, that's how the
other scooter failed. Replacement motors are available, but very expensive.
  - total weight 19 lbs. Can hold a rider weight <=250 lbs.
  - NO CHARGER. The charger that I had stopped working. You'll need to
buy a charger for a 14.4V NiMH battery pack, then hack a connector to it
to make it go. You can charge it from a lab power supply, but you have
to be very careful not to over charge it.
  - company that makes them is out of business. Parts such as wheels
are still available online though.

If anyone is interested please contact me off list. Or, if you think
it's a suitable donation to NB hack pile, I could do that too.

Eric
