[Noisebridge-discuss] Holiday lights server whereabouts?

Thanks Ian!

After a reasonably deep search by myself and others (thanks Rubin!) I
can't find the server.
Nor can I find MCT's generously loaned camera. Or the power supply.
The serial cable (which uses a non-standard connector) remained so
someone physically unplugged it all.

I will naively persist in the delusion that they were spirited away
for safekeeping. If the kind individual who did so could return them
to the shelf marked "JON F" it would be appreciated. Otherwise note
that "moved so nobody can find it" is indistinguishable from "taken."
I leave the reader to judge the relative excellence of that.

While it is customary to cue the "this is why we can't have nice
things" rant, I hope I don't need to instruct anyone in the tragedic
tendency of the commons, like the accumulation of unwashed dishes or
the disappearance of small cool things. This is inexorable as the
second law of thermodynamics, and is a fact of life in a shared space.
But for anyone interested in NB as a place to make things happen, you
should definitely figure that into your cost/benefit calculation. I
certainly will.
