I'm going to look at the geekier side of things 
(aquaculture/hydroponics/aquaponics, container systems, mini-servo 
controlled watering systems, humidity and pH detectors), be offended by 
how much they're charging, and to take notes.

I'd like to come back and set up a small window box or two in the space, 
and this would be my first attempt to play with small controlled 
motors/switches controllers, and I'm starting from complete zero. I have 
  pumps, clay ball media, acrylic and acrylic glue/solvent, and pipes. 
Any one else interested? I'd love company!
