I'd be willing to teach beginner level chainmail(le) if there's
interest, and sell from my supply of rings at cost. Other than rings,
you need to have two small pliers; I don't have extras of those but
can lend my own pair during a class.

If there's enough interest to make it worthwhile, that is. (Speaking
of which, http://whenisgood.net/noisebridge/ruby/ is still waiting
enough interest.)
