I got feedback about what resources NPO's (like the Wikimedia foundation, or
Noisebridge) need to run SMS/mobile phone text donation campaigns:

Ronald-

Good afternoon and I hope you are doing well.  I saw your request for
information.

In order to take part in a mobile giving campaign you need to be a
registered 501c3, have revenues that exceed $500,000 and be in business for
at least a year.

If you meet those requirements there is a $650 startup fee, which includes a
$350 MGF application fee, $350/monthly charge and .20 cent per transaction
and 3 % of the overal donation.  So on a $10 donation.....$9.50 goes to the
NPO.
