[Noisebridge-discuss] HELP! Passport emergency

Here's my situation.
I got an emergency contact at burning man that my dad had developed  
complications from chemotherapy and is on life support, in the ICU. He  
lives in England.
A bit before going out to the desert, I had lost my wallet. I had my  
passport with me, for ID. Somewhere, it went AWOL.
I need to get to England, like, yesterday. I want to see my dad and be  
with my family. I have no photo ID. I was born in SF, so I'm going to  
see if I can get a copy of my birth certificate today. I'm not sure  
how else to start.
I have a flight that was booked for the 9th, but now, obviously I want  
to et on standby as soon as this passport is figured out.
I am back in SF now. If anyone can provide insight to the passport  
puzzle. I see there are emergenc passport services that say 'in 24  
hours' anyone tried these? They're expensive (150$) and I'm pretty  
short on funds.

TL;DR - dad is gravely ill, in england. I have no ID whatsoever. Have  
a flight for the 9th. Need help/advice.
