Thought people here may be interested in this -- some colleagues of
mine at work (Microsoft Research) wrote a programming environment
designed to be used on a smartphone. They call it "TouchStudio" and
it's pretty cute -- it's a scripting language that exposes a bunch of
APIs on the phone plus a touch friendly editor. The demo script is
"find all songs less than 180 seconds and list them on the phone
screen," then editing it is actually super simple.
