BREAKING NEWS: Early this morning, Tuesday December 7th, police moved in
on Justin Herman Plaza and dismantled the main #OccupySF camp. Bicycles,
books from the library, tents, and people’s belongings were thrown
directly into trash crusher trucks. Many occupiers were trying to leave
the area and were arrested anyway. Many more elected to get arrested as
a form of peaceful protest.
In recent weeks, mobile occupation forces have formed to occupy various
stretches of unused pavement throughout the financial district, as well
as in foreclosed homes and other locations throughout the city. Colleges
and Universities throughout the city have been mobilizing as well. This
movement cannot be contained, and it cannot be stopped.
Emergency assemblies have been called for 12 noon and 6pm TODAY,
December 7th. NOON RALLY at 101 Market. 6PM RALLY next to Justin Herman
Plaza. Please attend to support and make your voice heard as we debate
and decide how to move forward in light of this latest assault on our
rights.
