[Noisebridge-discuss] Seeking out a bicycle accident attorney asap.

Ugh. Bike accidents suck.

I had a good experience with Gary Brustin roughly 5 years ago:
http://bicyclelawyer.com/. He's based out of SoCal, I think, but has
an office in the south bay that he works out of part time. He does
nothing but represent cyclist defendants, and is an active cyclist
himself.

I was doored in 2006, and the insurance company of the doorer was
making signs of wanting to fight it (all I wanted was a replacement
for my bike and medical bills). He took me on contingency, put
together a very convincing packet of evidence, and convinced them to
settle out of court. All I had to do was a few phone calls with him,
one in-person meeting, and sign whatever he would send me every month
or two and send it back in the self-addressed stamped envelope he
included.

As someone who's not a big fan of personal injury lawsuits, it was
about as good an experience as I could have hoped for.

Best of luck,

Scotty
