  I have to second you on this. The approach taken by Alex Handy
  at times makes this all seem less credible than it is. It's
  true that, in throwing in with everyone at the meeting last
  night -- indeed, in proposing the letter be sent that evening
  -- I was accepting a certain need for the membership to bear
  with us for a little bit while we got our shit together. I
  guess I thought we all had the same spirit about this; it is
  certainly not appropriate to demand that the membership just
  trust and be silent.

  I second this as well. Your emails really do prod us all to
  hold ourselves to a higher standard. I hope that your
  influence will continue to be felt for some time.
