[Noisebridge-discuss] more member shelves = more happy members = more NB income

As a reminder, when I last heard, having a hack self was not necessarily a benefit of membership. Non members could have shelves.

When I last saw an argument for having more shelves, I believe it was left to anyone who wanted to buy, install and find room for more shelves.

Additionally, having locked resources has always been a source of contention at Noisebridge. It's possible that some people would cut locks just for the principle.

With all of that said, if you think more shelves would benefit Noisebridge, I suggest going out to buy (or help build) some. You have mentioned offering transportation to individuals, so you may be able to transport these. If you don't have the money for shelves, you may ask individuals for donations for the purpose of buying one.

In summary, great idea. Make it happen (be warned about the locks though) abd that there isn't such a clear idea about hack/member shelves. You don't need permissions to make shelves for the space.

Cheers,

Glen
