[Noisebridge-discuss] Ideas...Hacking the coffee peculators to work with our induction stove?

An induction cooker site recomments the Mauviel Induction Disc
(http://www.metrokitchen.com/product/mauviel-induction-disc) which, as
far as I can tell, is a stainless steel pizza shovel, something that
could be ho-jived cheaply. Cheap craigslist percolators is also very
logical and straightforward.

My flashier and possibly riskier idea is less so, but I'll jump at any
opportunity to work with fire, soooo...

I have silver solder, which is used in jewelry making and is a
lead-free silver alloy.  So long as the pieces are filed so it is a
tight joint and the melting points of the two metals aren't lower than
that of the solder, it should be worth a shot.  I'd need a propane
torch to hard solder, though.

What's the bottom of the percolator made of?  The stove is an
induction cooker, right?  If folks wanted to try it, I'd be happy to
give it a go.
