[Noisebridge-discuss] Ideas...Hacking the coffee peculators to work with our induction stove?

People:

Before you hack the percolator, try brewing a pot first. Coffee snobs
don't agree on much, but they pretty universally say that percolators
make terrible coffee: by recycling the water repeatedly through the
grounds, percolators overextract the bitter components -- especially
with the dark roasts a lot of us favor.

Coffeemakers are cheap and available. To avoid percolator
coffeegemmon, I have purchased a coffeemaker for NB with my membership
dues this month. If you want to hack something, put it on the
Internet.

I leave the inevitable squabbles about cleaning, refilling, and
obtaining supplies to the community.

HTH!

P.S. The coffeemaker (Cuisinart CHW-12 12 Cup Programmable) has a hot
water system so tea snobs are also in business.
