Hello All,

I've been reading through some of the mailing lists and decided maybe it was
time to introduce myself here.

I recently moved back to the area (West Oakland)  from Vermont with a short
stint in Alabama along the way and am really excited to be back in an area
with so much going on. I recently visited Noisebridge for the first time and
helped teach folks how to solder at Maker Faire and had a wonderful time
there.

In Vermont for the last many years I worked in a small school district
maintaining their equipment and teaching elementary through middle school
students how to use computers/technology with a strong emphasis on the use
of Ubuntu and FOSS. I also created and taught several after school programs
and summer technology camps where students learned how to solder, play with
circuit bending/creating contact mics, build and "Frankenstein" computers,
geocaching, install/configure/use various flavors of Linux and just plain do
fun stuff with technology. Basically all things I enjoy doing myself.

Along with that I am also really into welding, metalworking, wrenching on
motorcycles/scooters/mopeds/mechanical stuff and cooking good food.

Anyway, I'm really excited to be back in the area and to see so many
interesting things going on and look forward to meeting more of you in the
future at Noisebridge!
