More info from the CHOW Tips folks:

> This sounds great! Excited to parter and do CHOW Tips with you guys. I mentioned this to Less, but it might help with submissions too, to let you know that our CHOW Tips are
> distributed to 6,000 grocery stores and gas stations nationwide, and appear on 250 CBS stations on broadcast as well. So they get great distribution...Can't wait to hear what people

Hi Food Hackers!

Lessley, the senior editor of Chow Tips (part of CBS Interactive), emailed to Noisebridge's press email, asking for people interested in showing their cooking tips for them to video. Please see below for their description of the kinds of things they are looking for, along with links to some of their 30sec to 1min videos of people showing the food hacks they love.

We probably have some individuals, or groups who have something cool to show on video that can be edited down to a nice 30sec to 1min video (or so), eh?

If you are interested, please email me off list, and I'll pass your contact info along to Lessley.

Best,
Mitch.

Hi Lessley,

Those sample videos you sent are really nice!

Noisebridge has a bunch of food hackers. We have a bunch of individuals who are excellent cooks/chefs, and we also have a sub-group within Noisebridge, called Tastebridge, devoted to cooking and creative use of technology to make great food and drink.

I'll let some Noisebridge and Tastebridge people know, and post your call for people and projects to the Noisebridge email list, where I think it will draw considerable interest. I'll get back to you with more details when interested people and projects make themselves known to me.

Best,
Mitch.

Hi press at noisebridge.net,

I'm an editor at CHOW.com, a food site owned by CBS (but based in SF on 2nd street). We are looking for some new hack-type food related ideas for videos, and were wondering if any of your members might be interested in contributing. They would supply the idea and star in the video. Below are some we've done in the past in this vein. These types of videos do really well on CHOW, and get a ton of exposure. That's why we're looking to do more!

How to use your wok as a smoker

How to bake brownies in an orange

How to hack your slow cooker

How to clean a rack of lamb with a string

If you think this sounds of interest, please let me know how to proceed, and/or if you have any questions about CHOW or what we do, I'd be happy to answer them.

Thanks in advance,

Lessley Anderson
Senior Editor
CHOW.com
