[Noisebridge-discuss] Edge of the kitchen counter - supplies bought, stuff to do

As some of you may have noticed, I finished the edge of the kitchen
counter using old bicycle tires. This project needs to be finished by
using silicon caulk to fill in the gap between the tire and the
counter, which will seal it and make cleanup easier.

I will try to get to it, but if anyone wants to have a go, there are
two packs of black silicone caulk, a caulking gun and some alcohol for
preparing the surface on the plastic table next to the kitchen. Need
some masking tape as well to mark out the edge of the bead.

Basically you want to:

1) clean the tire and counter where the caulk will go with the alcohol
2) lay out a line of masking tape parallel to the edge of the counter,
about 1/8 to 1/4 inche away.
3) lay down a bead of silicone caulk following the bike tire and the tape
4) peel up the tape
5) smooth the silicone - a plastic spoon or a finger dipped in soapy
water should work
