An engineer, an activist, and a hacker are tasked with making America
#1 in flying cars. The engineer writes up a budget to form a search
committee to identify candidates to initiate a feasibility study. The
activist jumps off the Golden Gate Bridge after making a videotape of
himself talking about how much the US spends for defense but none for
flying cars, and mocking Middle America for clinging to their guns and
religion and being content with ordinary non-flying cars. The hacker
hotwires a car, steals a jet engine, drinks a bottle of whisky, and
sets a land speed record, etc, according to his or her own
particular... uh, idiom? Idiom! Makes sense now?
