Aestetix mailed me his sekr1t report and I'll say that while he's
positive they are around, I'd say that for me the evidence is
indicative but not conclusive. That said, I bet all the other
hackerspaces think we have the lurgy now, and if we do we should do
something about it, and if we don't have them, we should find a way to
get a special "nil bedbugs" sign to wave at everyone. This quantum
eigenbedbug state is troublesome.)

I called the sniffer dog guys and they quoted me $235-$350 (They
weren't sure: I gave them rough footage and the groundplans and they
said 'well that's certainly a unique space'. I agreed with their
assessment).

They can be around within 24 hours usually.

As is traditional, I'm going to set up a pledge for getting them in
and collapsing the eizenbugs. Add your pledges on the wiki. As soon
as we hit close to the total soon, I'll bring them over for tea.

(As is also traditional, I'm also putting up using Noisebridge funds
for this at this weeks meeting, to be consensed next week.)

Aestetix I forgot to ask them whether smoke bombs will stymie the
dogs. I'll ask. If they do, would you wait off on the bombs until we
get them in? If we have bedbugs they'll be able to identify where we
should concentrate your bombs. (And also we will probably need a more
detailed plan of action if they do find them).

Scent dog trivia
============

People seem to think scent dogs are good at locating ze bugs. See
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Bedbugs#Detection

Mr Hoity-Toity New York Times, a place where bedbugs are now have
majorities in the state legislature, is a fashionably sceptical about
the efficacy of sniffer dogs - but these seems to be more about the
economic incentives than the dogs themselves (ie "yes our dogs say you
have bedbugs now pay $1000 for our extended bedbug cure service").

Our local Yelp *really* likes Scent Tek, and lots of the reviews are
from people who called in the dogs, and the dogs found nothing, which
seems to indicate that they are pretty honest. Also, the dogs
themselves blog on the site, which won me over.
