Subject: [artists-announce] Off Topic Opportunity for Selling Arts & Crafts
in SF: SF Arts Market in UN Plaza - June 16th +
To: <artists-announce at burningman.com>

We wanted to let artists know about this free arts market, where you can
sell original creations free of charge. There is no fee to participate and
they wish to be inclusive and not jury or restrict things, which I was
excited to hear about. I hope this is helpful to at least some of you out
there. They said that performers can also put a hat out. If any of you do
end up participating in this, please let me know what your experience was.

Hello $teven!

So nice to meet you last week at the Tenderloin Arts Advisory meeting at the
Exit Theater. Thanks so much for offering to help spread the word about the
upcoming Arts Market. We'd love that.

We're looking for: Artists, artisans, craft-makers, and nonprofits (arts
related) to vend in UN Plaza every Thursday starting on June 16th. Because
the market is a project of the city of San Francisco and Independent Arts
and Media (nonprofit), it is FREE to vend.

We also offer space for performers of all types to work their magic during
the Market (generally lunch hours are best for foot-traffic), so music
buskers, duos, trios and bands are great (jazz, folk, indie, experimental,
etc.); dance; theatrics; performance art; stilt walkers; etc. are all
welcome. The Plaza can also be used to offer educational classes and
workshops, as long as the individual or group hosting that coordinates those
efforts.

For vendors to participate, they need to register by filling out a first
time vendor form on our website, where I review their form and info to make
sure they do indeed create or craft their own art. I then send them a link
to register for their preferred vending days. They can go to our website and
click 'Participate', http://artsmarketsf.org/ or go straight to:
http://artsmarketsf.org/participate/ to access the first time vending form.

Interested performers or educators should email me directly at:
artsmarketsf at artsandmedia.net

Thanks again for offering to help out with our outreach efforts.

Welcome to mid-Market!

Very best,
--
