[Noisebridge-discuss] The outright Republican assault on women just keeps getting worse

I just looked at this bill here,

http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-h3/text
and here:

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c112:3:./temp/~c112ZTJkpC::

and there isn't any language in it that redefines rape. (Anymore.)

It seems like its main effect would be to discourage small businesses
and any employer who gets funding or a tax break for providing medical
insurance from picking an insurance plan which covers abortion.

Here are some articles,

http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/04/redefine-rape-hr-3-abortion-stealth

A petition,

http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/hr3_vote/?rc=fb_share1

And Planned Parenthood's form to mail your Senators,

https://secure.ppaction.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=13202&s_src=smithbillmay2011_actk

I don't know much about Anthony Weiner but at least whoever composes his
emails for him should get their facts straight and suggest some action
other than donating to his particular campaign for office... what a
douche...

Cheers,

- Liz
