I was able to piece together what happened.  Danny, it looks like
when you composed your message and gpg clear-signed it, it was not
word-wrapped.  When that clear-signed message was cut-and-pasted into
gmail, it was wrapped, which broken the signature.  If I un-word-wrap
your message, it verifies correctly:
