No real electrical requirements...its all about what we want to do. The only real requirement is that we have to clean it daily, and be able to clean underneath it. There are also requirements for railings and bump guards so cars don't bulldoze the park sitters. The rest of the requirements are actually in the application:

Personally, I think Miloh would be a totally excellent leader for this!

Looks like a pretty good team so far.
Are there any electrical requirements for parklets? Perhaps a solar installation could provide power for some subtle effect.
It won't hurt to submit something.
I want to lead an application for this, does anyone mind me taking it up?

I'm with Mitch that I'm a bit too buys to lead, but I can definitely do the basic structure design and big scary welds that have to stick (stuff for the fence, benches, etc).

If we have someone who'd like to take the lead on making this happen, I'm sure we can get enough people to help make it real, including the getting funds donated.

I can help with some of the construction details...can we come up with the cash? Looks to be about $1k in permitting before we even start talking about materials and stuff.

Fantastic! I don't have time to lead, but I'll definitely help.

It would be way nice to have a parklet on Mission & 18th, in front of Noisebridge. And I'm sure we can make something incredible. I can get lots of RGB LEDs (for instance). :)
