I am fully in favor of adding more communication forums!  If you'd like
to run a Diaspora* node for Noisebridge, we can definitely add DNS
entries pointing to whatever host you'd like, just send the IP address
to rack at lists.noisebridge.net and we'll get you hooked up.

This has been on my todo list for at least 6 months, and I haven't
gotten off my butt yet, so I hope somebody can kick down and do it. :)

I'm generally a fan of mailing lists, though, so I probably won't be
going anywhere.  Mailman works pretty great with procmail and mutt.

I agree the "plain text digest" is pretty awful, if you're subscribed to
that, well, my sympathies.  The "MIME digest" should be better, or you
can just subscribe to the non-digest and use gmail folders instead --
which seems like a much better solution to me.
