Andy -

I found pretty much step by step instructions for installing from git on
Ubuntu LTS server.

I would be willing to give this a solid try. Lets go for it.

ps for the long term I definitely would like people to co-administer /
monitor.

my (proposed) aim is Noisebridge-Diaspora  - Social Networking for
Hackerspace Culture (Community).
