Aww shucks. Just ask, and you're welcome to come by. I know you're a
good person and that you wont come crashing in and leave a dump in my
sink (or will you?).

See -- I'd be more than happy to liberally let in friends and friends
of friends, but I see that as a lot different than just leaving the
door open.
