Howdy, thanks for wanting to run a class at Noisebridge, cooking is
awesome!

Requiring a donation typically isn't considered a donation, but a fee.
We're happy to host classes at Noisebridge, but ask that you not
require a fee for class participation, to keep it free to everyone.
You're welcome to ask for a donation for participants to cover
material fees, but not to attend the class.

I can understand not wanting to have a bunch of people show up for
your class, contribute nothing in the form of ingredients for donated
money for ingredients, then help themselves to your delicious pot of
soup (or whatever delightfully tasty thing you're working as a group
to create). And if that happens just let folks know they're welcome to
some if they threw something into the pot or helped to pay for it. But
please don't limit off people simply wanting to attend the
class/workshop and learn without paying a materials fee or providing
their own materials.

Additionally have you heard about the vegan hacker class that happens
once a month at Noisebridge? I think they might be skipping on August...
