[Noisebridge-discuss] banning "Occupy"

I think perhaps a better way to put it is that NoiseBridge is not an extension of Occupy. 

Many people at NB support Occupy. There are presumably numerous people at NB doing stuff that helps Occupy. 

But that is the extent of it: the normal activities and purpose of NB may help Occupy, but being from Occupy doesn't entitle you in any way.
