[Noisebridge-discuss] opaque projector

Will an overhead projector project snapshots - that is printed photographs?
Of course, I can scan the photographs and then use a more modern 
projector to project them from my computer with more modern equipment.  
But if I am able to project the pictures as they are that is one step 
avoided.
What will an overhead projector project?
