Sadly, CO2 lasers will only etch a very limited number of materials. Fiber lasers are better for some etching. 

3M makes some laser engraveable tape that you can use to make permanent very thin stickers. It's very hard to engrave - you will need to use a new epilog laser at TechShop (the older ones have some calibration issues that make it hard to get right). It is great material, though, and will stick to nearly anything.
