i think this is the one we want, the FCS2 package for EIGHT CENTS each.

it's a 900MHz RFID tag.. anywhere from 840 to 960 mhz is fine.

and i am pretty sure it is ready to go, antenna and all - it is 9mm by 4mm 
after all (but very flat).

now we have to find a reader.
